The English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance (ESPAUR) Report 2022 to 2023 webinar was held on 2:00-4:30pm on Wednesday 22 November 2023.
The 2023 ESPAUR report marked a decade since the first ESPAUR report was published, and the latest report describes the surveillance of antimicrobial consumption, resistance, and stewardship across the healthcare economy at a local, regional and national level.
The webinar was introduced by Susan Hopkins (Chief Medical Advisor at UKHSA) and chaired by Diane Ashiru-Oredope (Chair of ESPAUR and Lead Pharmacist for healthcare-associated infections (HCAI) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) at UKHSA).
A summary of key findings were presented from the authors of the report as well as a ten-year review of the report since its inception.
The webinar is aimed at health care professionals but anyone is welcome to attend. Places were free but capacity limited. The recording is now available.
