You are invited to register for and attend a live webinar** on 25th September from 1:00 to 4:15pm to launch this year’s World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) plans and toolkit(s) across the four UK nations and to celebrate 10-years of the Antibiotic Guardian campaign which was launched in 2014 and has since received more than 200,000 pledges from 137 countries worldwide. The event will also provide the opportunity to find out about the 2024-29 UK National Action Plan on AMR that was launched in May 2024.
The webinar will be chaired by Prof Diane Ashiru-Oredope (Lead Pharmacist for HCAI and AMR at UKHSA and Chair of the English Surveillance Programme for Antimicrobial Utilisation and Resistance (ESPAUR)). Speakers will include colleagues from UKHSA, NHS England, Scottish Government, Public Health Wales, Public Health Agency Northern Ireland, the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, Microbiology Society, GP practices, NHS trusts, Integrated Care Boards and the Veterinary Medicines Directorate.
