The Africa Antibiotic Guardian page is a collaboration between UK Health Security Agency and Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. The page has been endorsed by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. All AU Member States are invited to add their endorsement and use this resource in their national campaigns
Antibiotic Guardian was developed in 2014 by UK Health Security Agency. The campaign is led by UK Health Security Agency in collaboration with the Devolved Administrations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland); the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and professional bodies/ organisations towards the ‘One Health’ initiative.
The initial concept for this website and logo was developed jointly with the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, who also kindly provided the initial funding for the website
