Antibiotic Guardian was developed in 2014 by UK Health Security Agency. The campaign is led by UK Health Security Agency (PHE) in collaboration with the Devolved Administrations (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland); the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and professional bodies/ organisations towards the ‘One Health’ initiative.

The initial concept for this website and logo was developed jointly with the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy, who also kindly provided the initial funding for the website

Antibiotic Guardian supports the UK Antimicrobial Resistance strategy, European Antibiotic Awareness Day (18 November) and World Antibiotic Awareness Week (14-20 November 2016)
Antibiotic Guardian Pledges are available in
Dutch (a collaboration with Belgian Antibiotic Policy Coordination Committee, BAPCOC)
French (a collaboration with Belgian Antibiotic Policy Coordination Committee, BAPCOC)
Russian (a collaboration with WHO-Europe)
Turkish (a collaboration with WHO-Europe and Turkish Health departments)
